Adrià thought that if he asked for an “big-head” in the Three Kings’ letter, he could certainly have one at home.
He fascinates the parades of giants and big-heads, the music that accompanies them and the dance they make. Especially as the skirts of their long suits and the layers that they carry. And the Three Kings did not disappoint him!
Making the big-head and the king’s costume.
The big-head has been made with paper-maché and is painted with acrylic paint. Disguise patterns have been designed following the dress style of the giants that represent kings or knights. The dressmaking was commissioned to a seasoned collaborating sewing machine of Regalunic, Maria. Customized details have also been put in both the dress and the coat. The images show the process, quite laborious and its result. A great experimentation project!.
